Rescue: West Washington Street
In what was described as a “joy ride” at 5:09 p.m. May 2, Chagrin Falls firefighters drove a fire truck to an apartment building to attempt the rescue of a curious cat stuck on the fourth-floor ledge. All went well and the mission was described as a “purrfect” rescue.
Lost property: Shopping Center
A Chagrin Falls woman noticed her license plate missing at 4:44 p.m. April 30 when shopping at Heinen’s. She also had shopped in Bainbridge Township earlier in the day.
Juvenile complaint: East Washington Street
At 1 p.m. April 27, four young adults from Solon were caught playing on the closed football field. Officers advised them to leave.
Noise complaint: West Carriage Drive
Officers responded to a 10:26 p.m. April 29 complaint from neighbors about loud music in a carport. The culprits were advised to turn down the volume.
Found property: River Street
An officer on patrol found someone’s ID at 5:49 p.m. April 26. The owner was contacted and picked it up at the police station.
Juvenile problem: Cleveland Street
Four youths went through a gate blocking entry into the old mill property on April 25. They were caught, advised on the dangers and warned about trespassing laws.
