Sun and mild temperatures are providing a respite this weekend from the cold and rain Bostonians have experienced this spring, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday was sunny and mild, with temperatures peaking in the afternoon at 71 degrees. Showers are due to start late Saturday night and linger into Sunday morning, when highs will be in the 40s and 50s, according to the forecasters at the weather service in Norton.
But the clouds are set to part for a warm day with “full sunshine,” with temps expected to be mid-to-upper 70s. Clouds are expected to return in the evening with a low of about 54 degrees, with the cold front moving in allowing for some showers along the coast, according to the service.

The rest of the week is expected to be slightly cooler. Monday is expected to have a high of about 63 degrees, Tuesday 59, Wednesday 53, Thursday 54, and Friday 56. Periodic showers are likely on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
