Pleasanton, California-based iniBurger is introducing a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich to its 100%-halal menu at its Fremont and Pleasanton locations, according to a company press release.
The iniBurger Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich uses 100% halal chicken, which is void of any antibiotics, added hormones and animal by-products. The restaurant uses cage-free poultry that's fed an all-vegetarian diet resulting in a juicy chicken patty that is deep fried, covered in both special house Boom Sauce and cayenne sauce and then topped with pickles and house made coleslaw.
Although this is where most hot chicken sandwiches would end, iniBurger's has a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
"We know that almost every popular chain has their take on the Nashville Hot Chicken, but the only variation typically offered is the level of heat," Abdul Popal, iniBurger's founder said in the release. "Unfortunately, this makes it so diners that are not spice-inclined don't get to experience the depth of flavor packed into these sandwiches. Don't get me wrong, our sandwich is hot. But, the unique addition of a massive vanilla ice cream scoop cuts the heat and elevates the flavor in a way that sets us apart…Our commitment to constantly push the envelope of flavor combinations and introduce the unexpected is what keeps diners coming back for more."
Since iniBurger's restaurant debut last year, the gourmet burger restaurant has given diners eclectic twists on classic American eats. In addition to Nashville Hot Chicken, other offerings on the menu include customizable burgers; Western BBQ and Hawaiian Spice burgers; Falafel Burger and the Waffle'n Out, which is made with a crunchy waffle potato bun stuffed with a crispy chicken patty, Boom Sauce, melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions, turkey bacon and a fried egg.
